{"id":1710,"date":"2021-11-27T04:27:25","date_gmt":"2021-11-27T03:27:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/monblogeur.tech\/index.php\/2021\/11\/27\/surprise-whatsapp-leak-reveals-chat-app-is-about-to-copy-facebook-feature-the-sun\/"},"modified":"2021-11-27T04:27:25","modified_gmt":"2021-11-27T03:27:25","slug":"surprise-whatsapp-leak-reveals-chat-app-is-about-to-copy-facebook-feature-the-sun","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/monblogeur.tech\/index.php\/2021\/11\/27\/surprise-whatsapp-leak-reveals-chat-app-is-about-to-copy-facebook-feature-the-sun\/","title":{"rendered":"Surprise WhatsApp leak reveals chat app is about to copy Facebook feature&#8230; &#8211; The Sun"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"cfbc967f0983488262956e73eca9483a\" data-index=\"1\" style=\"float: none; margin:10px 0 10px 0; text-align:center;\">\n<script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-3859091246952232\" crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script>\r\n<!-- blok -->\r\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-3859091246952232\" data-ad-slot=\"1334354390\"><\/ins>\r\n<script>\r\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n<\/script>\r\n\n<\/div>\n<p>WHATSAPP looks set to borrow one of Facebook&#x27;s most iconic features.<br \/>A new leak reveals that WhatsApp is working on message reactions.<br \/>Anyone who has used Facebook will be familiar with these.<br \/>You&#x27;ll be able to react to individual WhatsApp messages with a selection of six emoji.<br \/>The leak comes via the highly reputable <a href=\"https:\/\/wabetainfo.com\/whatsapp-is-working-on-viewing-reaction-info\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noreferrer noopener\">WABetaInfo<\/a>, a tech blog that specialises in mining WhatsApp for upcoming features.<br \/>There are six smileys to choose from, including &quot;thumbs up&quot;, &quot;heart&quot;, and &quot;laughing with tears&quot;.<br \/>There&#x27;s also a shocked emoji, a crying face and a prayer or high-five emoji, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thesun.co.uk\/tech\/16406654\/prayer-emoji-is-high-five\/\">depending on who you ask<\/a>.<br \/>The feature was actually leaked by WABetaInfo earlier this year as being in the works.<br \/>But now more evidence of the emoji system that will be used has turned up in the app.<br \/>It&#x27;s a slight change from the selection of Facebook emoji that you would see on posts.<br \/>On Facebook proper, the reactions include Like, Love, Haha, Wow, Sad and Angry.<br \/>It appears that it will only be possible to react to a message once \u2013 rather than with multiple emoji.<br \/>&quot;Everyone will be able to see who reacted to a message since reactions are not anonymous,&quot; WABetaInfo explained.<br \/>&quot;All reactions are listed in the first tab called &#x27;All&#x27;, then WhatsApp Groups who reacted to a message using a specific emoji, in a separate tab.&quot;<br \/>The feature is currently being built in the WhatsApp iPhone beta, but it&#x27;s also coming to the Android beta.<br \/>Sadly, it&#x27;s still unclear exactly when the message reactions will roll out to the wider public.<br \/>New WhatsApp features can be developed for weeks or months before landing on the general release version of the app.<br \/>And it&#x27;s entirely possible that WhatsApp could be disappointed with results during testing, and then scrap the feature entirely.<br \/>If you want to try the new feature first, it&#x27;s best to install the WhatsApp beta.<br \/>To download WhatsApp beta for your smartphone you need to go to Google Play on your Android and search for WhatsApp.<br \/>Scroll down the page until you see &quot;Become a Beta Tester&quot;.<br \/>Tap the &quot;I&#x27;m In&quot; button and then click &quot;Join&quot; to confirm.<br \/>Now all you have to do is wait for the update to the beta version of the app.<br \/>WhatsApp Beta can also be downloaded on a computer via the Google Play site.<br \/>Downloading WhatsApp beta on iOS is a much trickier and riskier process so this is not recommended.<br \/>If you want to do it, head\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/testflight.apple.com\/join\/s4rTJVPb\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a>.<br \/>Looking for tips and hacks for your phone?
