An internal Facebook survey shows employees are losing confidence in leadership and less than half provided favorable responses about their « intent to stay, » even as they grow more satisfied with direct managers, according to an internal survey viewed by Insider.
The social media giant, which recently changed its name to Meta, measures employee sentiment twice a year in an internal survey called « Pulse. » Insider viewed companywide results from the latest poll, released to employees this month. The company is said to be facing a potential exodus after a series of crises.
Staff provided overwhelmingly favorable responses to a section defined as, « what everyone at Facebook thinks about their direct managers » with categories such as people (84% favorable responses), collaboration (83%), and team impact (85%).
The responses were less favorable in sections about how employees felt about Facebook, and how they felt about their personal experience at the company.
A second section, measuring « what everyone at Facebook thinks about the company, » received 65% favorable responses, down 2 percentage points from the previous survey earlier in 2021.
A third section, defined as « what everyone at Facebook thinks about their personal experience, » received 61% favorable responses, up 1% compared to the previous half.
« Feedback is a core part of our culture and we routinely conduct internal surveys among employees so we can learn where we’re doing well or where we need to improve, » a company spokesperson said. « In areas where we’ve seen declines, we hear our employees, we’re taking their feedback seriously and most importantly taking action. »
