Two men have been charged after a Facebook sale led to shots fired in Clifton in September, according to court documents.
It happened Sept. 7 when a man put up an ad for a Playstation 5 gaming console.
Court documents state the seller was contacted by a person using the name Ricky Long offering to buy the PS5.
The seller agreed and the two planned to meet to exchange the PS5 and cash in the 3000 block of Vine Street,, according to court documents.
When they met up, two men, identified as Gregory Avery, 22, and Damon McCullom, 18, attempted to steal the console from the seller. Avery pulled out a firearm in an attempt the take the PS5, that’s when the seller, who is a concealed carry permit holder, took out his firearm, according to court documents.
Avery fired shots at the seller, hitting him in the right led before he and McCullom fled the scene, according to court documents.
The two were later charged with aggravated robbery and felonious assault.
Avery was arraigned on Oct. 7 and has been indicted.
McCullom is set to be arraigned on charges Tuesday.
