How to get back to your Facebook account
There is no real way to recover your old Facebook password. Facebook can’t send it to you because it doesn’t know, which is a common security practice. However, you can get back to your Facebook account by resetting your password.

This is what you should do from Facebook on the desktop of a browser:
If you’re on a device that recently logged into your Facebook account, Facebook can save the day by presenting you with Recent Logins. If you see your account profile, select it to log into your account automatically.
If you have a new device or Facebook can’t remember your last login, navigate to the Find your Facebook account page.

Facebook allows you to search by name in this field, which is useful if you can’t remember the email address you used when setting up your account.
If you entered an email address or phone number and Facebook finds a match, select how you want to receive your password reset code, and then select Continue.
If you registered a phone number and email on Facebook, you will see options to receive your code by text message or email. If you only registered one email, this is your only option.
If you entered a name in the search field, Facebook shows you matching search results. Select This is my account if you see your profile picture, or select I’m not on this list.
If you selected I’m not on this list, Facebook asks for a friend’s name to identify their account.

If you selected your account, choose how you want to receive the password reset code, and then select Continue.

If it found your account but you don’t have access to the phone number and email you set up, Facebook can’t verify your identity.

If you found your account and selected a method to receive your reset code, enter the security code you received and select Continue.

Facebook displays a message warning you to log out of other devices in case someone else has access to your old password. Select Sign out of other devices or Stay connected, and then select Continue.

If you use Facebook on an iOS or Android device, here is how to recover your account.
On the Facebook login screen, tap I forgot my password.
Enter a phone number, email address, name, or username.
Select Confirm by email or Confirm by text message, depending on your settings, and then tap Continue.

Choose Keep me signed in or Sign out of other devices and tap Continue.
Enter a new password and tap Continue. You are now back on your Facebook account.

How to reset your Facebook password using your phone number?
It is normal for you to forget your Facebook password. There is no need to panic. These days, you are expected to set complex passwords for security reasons. Naturally, these passwords are very difficult to memorize. Without password managers, many people would be completely lost. Even if your password is simple, trust me, there may come a time when you no longer remember it. This often happens when you started saving your passwords in your browser or in a password manager.
