A bungling mom from England accidentally put her baby up for sale while trying to sell her sofa – insisting the tot needed to “go today.”
Lucy Battle had been trying to flog the old two seater couch when she accidentally included a picture of her son.
The mum, from Burnley, had posted pictures of the brown sofa but didn’t realise that she included little Oscar smiling in the post.
Lucy, 20, posted the picture of the seven-month-old on her local Facebook for sale group and didn’t realize her mistake until it had received hundreds of comments.
Lucy told Leeds Live: “I just somehow managed to upload the wrong photo when I was choosing them from my camera roll and unfortunately it was of Oscar!
“It worked out though because one of the messages was someone actually enquiring about the sofa!
“But most of them were people making jokes about me giving away my son. I didn’t expect it to go so far!”
Hundreds of people hopped onto Lucy’s post to make jokes about her mistake, asking how the tot was with other children.
One commenter joked: “Can I swap for a teenager?” while another said “How’s he at washing up?”
A third laughed: “What’s he like with other babies?”
After realising her mistake, Lucy clarified that she meant the sofa rather than Oscar.
She added: “Thanks all for being nice though and understanding this was a genuine mistake.
“I don’t want to give away my child.”
